HTTPS certificate pending

When a domain is newly pointed at a service, its HTTPS certificate is issued automatically, but only once the domain’s DNS has propagated far enough for the certificate authority to verify it. In the short window before that finishes, a browser may show a “not secure” or certificate warning. This is normal and usually clears within a few minutes.

If it hasn’t cleared

Give it up to an hour on a fresh domain. If the warning is still there after that, the usual cause is DNS: the domain isn’t pointing at CloudQube yet, so the certificate can’t be validated.

Note

Check the domain’s DNS first, following Domain not resolving. Once DNS resolves to CloudQube, the certificate is issued on the next attempt and the warning disappears.
